The SwiftOff has been paused

I have some incredibly unshocking news to report: half a year after my last blog post on learning Swift: I've fallen off the Swift wagon.

A lot has happened in the last six months to distract me from continuing to learn Swift, and while I can blame some of it on the fact that I wasn't building anything with the language — a major momentum vampire — it really boils down to simply not having enough time and interest in it.

Oddly enough, in the past six months I've found myself more voraciously consuming videos and blog posts about HTML, CSS and JavaScript, despite them being my bread and butter for the last five years or so.

It's probably because web development changes a little more often than Swift does, and it definitely has to do with the fact that I work with those three pillars in my professional job, day in, day out.

So what's next? I don't know, really. I'd like to learn more about Swift and app development in the future, but for now I'm only committing to updating the blog with things I learn or find interesting, rather than stick to a herculean undertaking that I fail within a few weeks.
